Yes--it's hot! But it IS summer. Cool down with these chillers.
Here are four chillers that I have loved and a few I'm really excited about.
The Girl Who Takes an Eye for an Eye: A Lisbeth Salander novel, continuing Stieg Larsson's Millennium Series, was released June 26, 2018
The Birdwatcher by William Shaw has a follow up called, Salt Lane. I loved the former and cannot wait to read the latter.
Actress and activist Amber Tamblyn just came out with her debut, Any Man. Strong stuff going on here and it's worth a look.
The Lost Ones by Sheena Kamal is a debut novel and a page turner: contacted by the desperate adoptive parents of the child she gave up fifteen years earlier, Nora embarks on a search through the streets of Vancouver. It's on the shelves right now!
What a great start to cool down.

Well this is amazing news for Black Mirror fans...
Vulture is reporting that the amazing book, "Her Body and Other Parties by Carmen Maria Machado will get a serialized treatment in the same vein as the Netflix hit, "Black Mirror".
Mercado's debut work of short stories was nominated for the National Book Award and features stories that are earthy and otherworldly, antic and sexy, comic and yet deadly serious. The book is not to be missed. Read more about Carmen Maria Machado here.
I can't think of a better thing than combining this book with "Black Mirror" and I'm totally in.
