Merrick Library is happy to welcome three new opera productions to the Performance DVD section. Each performance in this trio was taped live from the stage of New York's Metropolitan Opera:
"I Puritani" - Vincenza Bellini's last opera depicting romance within the turmoil of England's Civil War
"La Sonnambula" - also by Bellini - was Amina unfaithful or was she asleep?
"Eugene Onegin" - a Tchaikovsky masterpiece based on the classic novel by Alexander Pushkin - cast led by Renee Fleming and Valery Gerglev
