"Chasing Ghosts" - 11-year old Lucas has had an obsession with death since his brother passed away - now an unexpected presence Lucas has captured on a movie camera is making him a celebrity - stars Robyn Lively ("Ouija"), Frances Conroy (TV's "Royal Pains") and Toby Nichols ("22 Jump Street")
"A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night" - from Iran - billed in its native land as the "First Iranian Vampire Western" - winner of the Gotham Award for Breakthrough Director (Ana Lily Amirpour, who also wrote the film)
"Life Inside Out" - Laura has rediscovered her passion for music and is using it to reach out to her troubled youngest son - winner of two John Paul II International Film Festival Awards - stars Maggie Baird and Finneas O'Connell (TV's "Glee")

"Living is Easy with Eyes Closed" - from Spain - teacher Antonio (Javier Camara, "The Secret Life of Words") is traveling to perhaps meet his hero: John Lennon! - along the way he picks up two runaways (Note: the movie's title is a line from the Beatles song :"Strawberry Fields Forever" written by Lennon)
"Taken 3" - ex-spy Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) is about to reconcile with his ex-wife and when she is murdered and Mills is blamed for it - also starring Forest Whitaker ("Lee Daniels' The Butler") and Famke Janssen ("The Wolverine")
"Unbroken" - finally on DVD! - the incredible true story of Olympic runner Louis Zamperini (Jack O'Connell, "300: Rise of an Empire") who survived a World War Two ocean plane crash, 47 days on a raft with two crewmen and unrelenting torture on in a Japanese island prison - based on the mega-selling biography by Laura Hillenbrand (to be found in Merrick Library's Biography collection), directed by Angelina Jolie and American Film Institute Movie of the Year
"Walter" - he's the guy at the local movie house that handles the tickets - now he claims to be God's son sent to decide the eternal fate of everyone who crosses his path! - stars William H. Macy (TV's "Shameless"), Milo Ventimiglia (TV's "Gotham") and Peter Facinelli (TV's "Nurse Jackie")
