Have e-books clicked with you yet?

This article from The Guardian poses the question, "Has Jeff Bezos changed the way people read?"

Check Consumer Reports for the best e-readers!

is how I read my next book.
If Jennifer Egan's "Manhattan Beach"
comes in first as an e-book via Overdrive,
that's how I'll read it.

When reading in bed,
I prefer the e-version as opposed to my"book with my itty bitty book light attachment" set up.
But as I said, whichever version comes in first- I'm all in.

Overdrive gets a face lift!

Andy Weir: By the Book

lost in space GIF

This Sunday, Andy Weir appears in the NYT By the Book column.
Read the interview right here!

Here's a bit:

"Who is your favorite novelist of all time?

AW: I grew up reading my father’s science-fiction collection, a huge collection of those pulpy mass-market paperbacks from the ’50s and ’60s. Making my way through the Holy Trinity of Asimov, Heinlein and Clarke was what made me fall in love with science fiction, and to some extent that experience has shaped my life ever since. So I’d have to pick one of them.

Take a moment to praise a few unheralded writers. Who should we be reading?

AW: Well if you’re not reading Peter Clines’s books, you should be — though I don’t know if he would qualify as “unheralded.” "

Great interview--and I included links to the authors above.

Happy Birthday Liane Moriarty!

Reese Witherspoon Hbo GIF by Big Little Lies

Six books recommended by the lady herself!
See what they are right here from BookBub.

And for all you Big Little Lies fans, it looks like HBO is scheduling a 2018 spring production start for season 2!
I'm on the fence about whether this is a good idea or not. Why mess with the perfection of the original series?
To be perfectly frank, I'll watch it regardless.
And I'll read anything Moriarty writes so, I'm a fan.

Choose your next title from the birthday girl right here.

murder orient GIF

This terrific article from Broadly focuses on the strange
11-day disappearance in 1926 of Agatha Christie.
There is speculation as to what happened and the article is a must read.

With the remake of Murder on the Orient Express in theaters now, there is a renewed interest in the Queen of Mystery.
